drawing of pink gerbera flowers in vasem pinks and greens

A wee test, to see if I can remember how things work here – and to share these lovely flowers! A welcome surprise from Ronan, they arrived in the post, and lasted well over a week whilst we were away for a week’s holiday! Yay!

If this works, I have a load of photos to upload here as it has been quite a while!

These Gerbera surprised me as previous experience taught me that they managed to hold on for a day or two at most! Thus my gratitude and inspiration to capture them whilst they were still looking good!

A bit of a ‘comfort zone’, I find that drawing flowers can be really enjoyable if everything aligns! This is most definitely not always the case, but this time, things flowed/flew. And so the experience was most pleasurable. I used some ink, some coloured pencils and a little bit of ink pencil. The inks are relatively new to me, but don’t half cover the paper quickly! (A comparison I must retain and remember to use again!)

I’m going to press ‘publish’ shortly with breath held and fingers crossed – because that might make all the difference!

Here goes…
