I enjoyed drawing this tree, it took a wee life of its own after the start. I love it when that happens! It’s a less formal/ accurate depiction than Windswept Oak and Oak Tree, though that wasn’t necessarily the intention at the start. It has taken on an atmosphere and character all of its own!
Again, I tried to create an even, graduated background, which turned out different to plans. But what fun and learning is there in everything working out first time?
I wrote a blog post all about the making/ process/ work in progress of Into the Trees <<< Click here to see it.
This is one of my favourite views, glanced towards the top of a local tandem ride, up a hilly glen (yes, I do pedal on the back!).
